Warm water and reef-sheltered lagoons in the Mamanuca, Yasawa and Kadavu groups. The tide is about a metre: it matters at reef passages and on shallow flats. The tide pages use NOAA’s predictions for eight Fiji stations. Land and beaches are mostly owned by villages: ask the village before landing or camping, and bring sevusevu.
