Sea kayaking and boating in Australia
Tides in Queensland come from the Queensland Government (based on Bureau of Meteorology predictions); in New South Wales and Tasmania they are predicted from gauge readings (Sydney and Spring Bay, via UHSLC) or modelled from satellite data (EOT20) between gauges, not official predictions. Many islands are national park with booked campsites (Queensland Parks e-permits). Watch for marine stingers in summer and crocodiles in the north, and check the Bureau of Meteorology coastal forecast.
